Three singer-songwriters and the 45th Parallel string quartet come together in the program Sight Reading — Musical Dialects. Black Belt Eagle Scout is the project of Portland singer and multi-instrumentalist Katherine Paul, whose music brings post-rock and alternative together with traditional Native American music. Joining her on stage are Jimmie Herrod and Nick Jaina. It will be intriguing to hear how their songs sound with strings.
