What ESTET tells you
Iliko Sukhishvili and Nino Ramishvili founded the company in 1945. Today their grandchildren carry it forward: Nino as General Director and Iliko Jr as Artistic Director and Chief Choreographer. Behind the name on the poster is a family passing Georgian dance from one generation to the next.

The story behind the performance
In September the Vancouver Symphony opened its season with pianist Yulianna Avdeeva.
In 2010 she became the first woman since Martha Argerich in 1965 to win the International Chopin Piano Competition. This is the kind of context ESTET brings to a concert choice.
