“Archbishop Olympius of Chicago and Detroit blessed me to become an iconographer.”

She learned to paint in Saratov, at an art school and then the Bogolyubov Art College, and earned an MFA at the Stroganov Moscow State University of Arts and Industry (1995–2001). She trained to be a designer and first studied iconography as an academic subject. Then her family moved to America.

On a pilgrimage, Archbishop Olympius of Chicago and Detroit blessed her to become an iconographer. Her first icon was of her daughter's patron saint; commissions from parishioners, clergy and churches followed. She paints icons in the Byzantine and Russian traditions, and acrylic canvases about motherhood, family and the divine feminine.

A mother of five, she lives in Portland. Recent shows: a solo exhibition at FPCP Art Gallery (2023), Discovery Art Fair in Frankfurt (2025) and the group show "Finding Our Way" at the Walters Cultural Arts Center in Hillsboro (2026).
