One Saturday a month, Portland Japanese Garden reads children stories connected to Japanese culture and the garden’s holidays. December’s theme is peace: stories about kindness, respect and how much it matters to feel you belong among others. The stories are chosen for children, but everyone is welcome to listen. A calm pre-holiday Saturday that leaves you wanting a walk through the winter garden.
