Ragamala Dance Company, led by Ranee and Aparna Ramaswamy, brings its signature work Sacred Earth to Portland. The piece is grounded in the ancient classical form of Bharatanatyam, extended with a contemporary vision. Seven dancers and five musicians appear in traditional saris, with projections of Warli wall paintings, creating patterns on the floor in rice flour. The performance is part of White Bird’s 2026–2027 season.
