The Fall Festival of Shakespeare is nine plays over two days, all performed by Portland students. Middle and high schoolers take on not only Romeo and Juliet and A Midsummer Night’s Dream but also Coriolanus, King Lear and Macbeth. Each session brings two or three productions in a row from different schools, so a single visit shows how many ways there are to read Shakespeare. A good outing for families and for anyone who likes theater live and unpolished.
